Investing in feature length films generates primary revenue.  Films that our company will greenlight are chosen carefully based on their potential to supply a large return on investment. The company will use a portfolio strategy to enable greater risk management while maximizing potential profits. A film that Rogue Wave Films agrees to finance will create better than average margins by securing talent at a discounted rate and producing a film that artistically appears to have been created on a budget much larger then the actual investment.

 

Revenue will be from receiving a percentage of the films profits based on a negotiated agreement. For the films productions we finance, whenever possible, we will obtain state tax credits that we can use to offset profits. Investing in larger film finance companies that have agreed to offer us favorable terms not available to the general public will generate additional revenue.

 

Our goal will be to mitigate risk by investing only in films that distribution has already been secured based on the strength of the production. In addition, we will position ourselves for favorable investor status when film profits are distributed. This often includes a higher percentage and favorable disbursement of profits and tax credits in exchange for providing first money into a film.  Another strategy we will use will be to provide post production, finishing financing for a film that has distribution in place and negotiate favorable terms for last money in, first money out.

 

Our primary target would be independent films in any genre up to 10,000,000.00 but we would consider taking a smaller position in a larger budget film if it meets our criteria for return on investment.

 

Profit from films would be generated from, but not limited to:

Domestic theatrical sales

Broadcast cable television rights

International sales

Internet Distributors such as Netflix, Amazon, iTunes, etc.

DVD and Blu-Ray Sales and rentals

Intellectual property and licensing agreements
